during your shift, please keep the camera app open and the live feed visible at the front desk this guide covers how to open the app and set up your view please note, staff members are not allowed to access saved footage security footage should only be accessed by the manager security ca mera sta ndar ds (effective april 1, 2025) minim um camera requirements each store must have at least 5 cameras — 4 on the floor and 1 in the back room if your store or back room is larger, please order extras to ensure there are no blind spots camera position & name please make sure to label your camera according to the position of the camera in the area of the store good practice it is recommended to name the camera positions using the cash desk as your centre point example front right, front left, middle left, middle right etc me m o ry card s all cameras must be equipped with a 64gb micro sd card for video storage record ing s ettings all camera apps must be set to “always recording” to the memory card login su bmissio ns all security system logins must be filled out to your store's specific login tracker provided by the ops team security camera settings in order to be compliant provincially and federally, please make sure your security camera is set to the following audio recording no audio recording is allowed at any time please make sure to toggle off the audio recording in the setting in setting > video/audio > record sound toggle to off motion detection no motion detection is needed as that will move the camera while customers are moving around the store in setting > detection setting > motion detection toggle to off mute video please make sure to mute all the videos within the security camera app this is to make sure we are compliant at all times as well as not interfering with our music system when the app is opened open the individual camera
